Misgendering A Criminal Background Check Can Lead To World Of Hurt
Jordan applies for a job. She checks the female box.
But Jordan has not always been a female. She recently transgendered.
And she kept her given name.
She submitted her name and date of birth for the criminal background check.
The background check found a name and DOB match of a recent misdemeanor conviction and a name and DOB match of another crime conviction from a few years before.
Hypothetical - the first record has the gender as female but the second is listed as male - so.... Both are reported. Are both are correct?
